__________________IC Pump Station: High Level Control at Low Level Price!
IC Pump Station (ICPS) has many applications. New technology makes it possible to provide a wide variety of standard pump control functions at a low price. Here's a sampling of uses for this innovative water pump control:
1. Fully Adjustable "Pressure Switch" with Safety Shutoffs.
Where water needs to be under constant pressure ICPS can be used to select the
pressure level which turns the pump on (low pressure on) and off (high pressure
off). Available standard pressure ranges are 0-25.0 PSI, 0-100 and 0-250 PSI.
Pressure settings can be adjusted anywhere within that range. That makes it
easy to create a "pressure window" of any size to service virtually
any constant pressure pumping installation.
Low pressure safety shutoffs will shut the pump off - and keep it off - until
manually reset if the pressure goes below what you define as a "safe"
level. Most often the low pressure safety is used to detect a leak or loss of
intake water. The pressure must go below this low pressure safety level for
at least 30 seconds continuously before it triggers the low pressure safety
shutoff.
2. Tank Fill control.
IC Pump Station can maintain tank level using floats, probes or by measuring
the pressure at the bottom of the tank - down to 0.1 PSI! With tank storage
the system pressure (when the pump is off) is determined solely by the elevation
of the water in the pipe or tank - not by the amount of water in the system
so the tank level can be used start and stop the fill pump. The pressure safety
shutoffs are always active so as to shut down the pump if there's inadequate
water from the tank. The ICPS control unit can also be configured to "lock
out" a pressure pump in case the tank level is too low and needs time to
refill and can start and stop the tank fill based on time. Example: Start the
tank fill pump every 10 hours and run for two hours.
3. Minimum run timers.
ICPS also features minimum run timers...a minimum on timer and a minimum off
timer...both independently adjustable. The minimum "on" time and the
minimum "off" time is adjustable from 0-240 seconds (4 minutes). If
the minimum "on" time is adjusted at 30 seconds when the pump turns
on it will stay on for at least 30 seconds even the pressure rises above the
high pressure shutoff level. Likewise if the minimum "off" time is
adjusted to 30 seconds the pump will stay off for at least 30 seconds after
the "high pressure off" function turns the pump off. The safety shutoffs
always remain active and will shut off the pump even if the minimum run timer
has not timed out.
4. "Suspend" Mode.
With the "suspend" feature it's possible to turn off the pump so that
it does not go into the safety
mode - requiring a manual reset. It's great for water systems that don't operate
under constant pressure. An inexpensive sprinkler timer can be used to allow
the pump to run at preset times.
5. Hour Meter.
ICPS can log up to 9,999 hours of operation and can be reset to zero at any
time.
6. Cycle Counters.
ICPS keeps track of how many times each pump turns on and off (cycles).
8. Non-Volatile Memory for Data Storage.
ICPS features on board non-volatile memory which retains the settings without
power for 200+ years. Serial numbers and installation date can also be logged.
ICPS settings can even be pre-programmed in the office prior to field installation.
9. Reliable and Durable.
ICPS employs programming techniques used by life-support systems to ensure reliability.
ICPS: Simple and Efficient.
Simple, efficient design: ICPS is modular in construction and consists of three
(3) major components:
1. The control unit and display that is mounted on the faceplate.
2. Output Relay(s) that switches the high voltage pump starter.
3. Pressure transmitter that senses the pressure.
All components are "plug in" with "keyed" connectors that
cannot be hooked up backwards and each component can be replaced in minutes.
ICPS routinely replaces $10,000 custom control systems for 10-20% of that price.
For critical installations customers may purchase a back up unit that can be
quickly changed out for near zero down time. Standard power source is a plug-in
120 VAC input "Wall Cube" transformer. A universal internally "hard
wired" 85-265 volt AC 50/60 Hz power supply is optional.
